Chauncey Solinger Has Minimal Support in run for State House

Chauncey Solinger's blog, and comments by supporters, often state that Solinger has the election in the bag, tons of support, etc.

But one contradiction, which has already been referenced, is that he is the only candidate in the race who had to pay to qualify to run.  The other candidates all got the petitions signed.

Now, by itself it does not mean that he has no support.  He might, but here is the puzzling thing.  The cost of the filing fee for State House in Florida is $1,781.82 and one would think is a serious motivator to get the signatures done.  If he has the broad support he claims, would it have been that hard to get them?  Maybe he planned poorly, and decided to join the race at the last minute.  Or he simply did not know the rules.  We can't tell from here.

But what he have is a candidate who displays one or more of potential problems.  He makes major decisions at the last minute, does not value money enough to put his time into avoiding the costs, does not have support of those around him, and/or is in over his head in the election process and does not know what he is doing.  Which one of these is it?  Not sure, but even if fractionally true it does not inspire confidence.
